Origami Masterz Instructions

Ok. So we'll start with the most popular and well known origami, the crane! Legend has it that if you make one thousand cranes, you get 1 wish! So lets start!

Ok. First, we are going to make a square base. If you know, make it and stick around for the next steps. If you don't know, we'll teach you right now! If you know, go to step 17. If you know how to make the bird base, go to step 24.

1. Take a piece of origami paper.

2. Fold the paper in half.

3. Unfold

4. Turn the paper.

5. Fold the paper in half the OTHER way that what you did before.

6. Unfold and it will form a cross.

7. Turn the paper to the color side up.

8. Fold the paper diagonally.

9. Unfold.

10. Fold the paper diagonally the OTHER way than the way you previously folded the paper.

11. Unfold.

12. Turn the paper to the white side up.

13. Hold one of the corners.

14. This pictures bad but in this step, you are supposed to hold the other corner across from the other corner you are currently holding.

15. Bring the 2 corners together and press the 2 square shaped flaps that you are not holding to the corners you are holding.

17. Ok! Those of you who knew how to make the base, look back! For this step, you fold the flap up.

18. Unfold.

19. Fold the sides to the center.

20. Unfold

21. Unfold the top flap to that you see the white part of the top and so it forms a white rectangular shape and DONT fold the top flap back down. Then press one of the sides to the center as shown in the picture.

22. Press the other side to the center.

23. This is the finished fold, also called the petal fold.

24. Repeat on the other side and this is what it looks like on the side view. This is the bird base! Everyone who knew how to make the bird base, stick around cause we're going to show you how to make the crane!
